Why should every day be a Friday? About LIVING…

I love the group exercise instructors at the gym, most of them are so upbeat and positive! Group exercise class is a nearly painless way to get fit fast.

Usually, I go to Zumba class at least once a week at the gym. One of the instructors, Maria, has this saying, “Every day is a Friday.”

I love this saying! It’s much better than the one I came up with: “Every day could be a Monday.” (Which sounds slightly depressing.) Today is Tuesday. Tuesday is quite the underrated, neglected day, isn’t it? Every other day has its special appeal, except Tuesday…

Monday — it sucks
Tuesday — ?
Wednesday — hump day (sounds vaguely sexual to me)
Thursday — it’s next to Friday (personally, Thursday is my favorite day)
Friday — no explanation needed
Saturday — fun day, the ultimate, primetime spot of the entire week (though I think Fridays and Saturday are for amateurs.  Hah!)
Sunday — day of rest, football, church and stuff, etc.

Ok, back to “Every day is a Friday”…
Maria explained that a lot of folks wait until Friday to let loose and enjoy their lives. Why not enjoy your life and live more freely (which is NOT to say discard your responsibilities) every single day?!

Be alive every day!

:)

In my next post, I will have gathered a bunch of tips to help with this (making every day a Friday).

Do you have a favorite day of the week? Any tips to share for carrying that enthusiasm through the rest of your week?

My favorite day of the week is … TODAY ;)
Allthough some days … I too could use a little “Friday” sprinkle on top of the present. Hmm.. maybe I should take up Zumba ?

Hey Angela, I haven’t thought about it that way, but now that you put it in my head, I like the concept! I want to see those making every day a Friday suggestions soon!!!

To Chris above, I’m a dude, and I like Zumba! The women in class typically are able to dance, move much better than the fellas though.
